How to manage Handoff¶
Handoff is a unique feature within TenetOS that allows any applicant to seamlessly transfer the application process to another designated contact. Traditionally, initiating an account application meant that the individual who started it had to see it through completion. With Handoff, users now have the flexibility to delegate this responsibility to another team member or authorised contact.
Why did I receive multiple Handoff requests?
Handoff requests are sent to each contact with the provided email address. If there are two or more username credentials associated with the same email address, that email address will receive multiple Handoff requests.
Once one Handoff request is accepted, that contact is connected and all other Handoff requests will be cancelled.
I have multiple usernames with the same email. How do I manage my Handoff requests?
If you received multiple Handoff requests, sign in to TenetOS with the username that you wish to accept the Handoff request. Once one Handoff request is accepted, that contact is connected and all other Handoff requests will be cancelled.
How do I know I've been asked to take over an application?
You will receive an email notification that a Handoff request has been made to you. You will also be able to see your Handoff requests in TenetOS under Network and then Requests.
An email notification shall be sent to you. See here for the notification email.
I've submitted a Handoff to another contact. What do I do now?
An email notification shall be sent to the contact that an Handoff request has been made to them. If the Handoff request has been accepted, you will be notified that it has been accepted and you will no longer have access to the account application.
If the request has been rejected, you will be notified that it has been rejected and you will have to continue the account application.
Until the request has been accepted or rejected, you will continue to have access to the account application and have the option to continue it forward.
I've rejected all Handoff requests but got another email to create a username credential and review the Handoff request. What does this mean?
In TenetOS, we give the flexibility to clients to determine how they want to manage their username credentials. We first give users the option to connect new or additional account applications to existing usernames to optimise username management in TenetOS.
If clients opt not to connect, TenetOS creates a new username credential and gives the user one more option to take over the account application.
I have received separate ADD and Handoff requests. What happens to the Handoff request if I accept or reject the ADD request?
If you accept the ADD request, you will have connected your contact with the new Client Group. You will then have the option to accept or reject the Handoff request to take over the account application process. If you have multiple username credentials with the same email address (and as a result received multiple ADD and Handoff requests), then all other ADD and Handoff requests will be cancelled.
If you reject the ADD request, you will have opted not to connect your contact and your Handoff request will automatically be cancelled. If you have multiple username credentials with the same email address (and as a result received multiple ADD and Handoff requests), then you still have the option to review all other ADD and Handoff requests.
