Start your Tenet account application¶
Weclome to Tenet! Before you begin, we recommend taking a few minutes to read this guide. It’s designed to walk you through each step of the application process and highlight common challenges that can cause delays. A quick read now can help ensure your application is processed smoothly and efficiently.
In order to start, you’ll need an invitation code. These codes are valid for 7 days from the date of issue. If you haven’t received a code or it has expired, please contact onboarding@tenet.ky for assistance.
1. Step 1 – Begin Your Application¶
- Visit https://app.tenet.ky/auth/signin and select “Open an account” to get started.

-
Enter your invitation code, review the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Terms and Conditions.
-
When you're ready, click “Submit” to proceed.
2. Step 2: Choose Account Type¶
- Select “Individual” if the account is for yourself as a private applicant.
- Select “Entity” if the account is being opened on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity.
The remainder of this guide assumes that “Entity” was selected and will walk you through the steps for opening a business account.

3. Step 3: Your Details¶
This section must be completed by the individual who is personally filling out the application.
Expand here for more information on suitability.
This person will serve as the primary point of contact with Tenet during the onboarding process. They do not need to be the beneficial owner or controller of the account or accountholder, but they must be authorised to act in such a manner on behalf of the applicant and otherwise directly involved with the onboarding process and available to communicate with the bank.
Important: This application should not be completed on behalf of another person in any other scenario. If you are not the individual who will act as the main contact, please do not proceed. Instead, forward the invitation code to the appropriate person so they can complete it.

4. Step 4: Receive Your Username¶
After completing your details and clicking “Continue”, you will receive a username at the email address you provided. This username will also be displayed on the screen. Please save it somewhere safe, as it will be required each time you log in to work on your application.
¶
5. Step 5: Verify Your Email Address¶
On the next screen, a verification code will be sent to the email address you entered.
If you realize the email was incorrect, click the pencil icon to edit it, then resend the code.
Note: You’ll have 60 seconds to enter the code. If the time expires, simply click Resend Code to try again.
¶
6. Step 6: Entity Jurisdiction and Type¶
From the dropdown menu, choose the jurisdiction where the business is legally incorporated.
Once selected, the available entity types for that jurisdiction will appear below. Learn more about entity types and compliance requirements.
Note This selection is critical for the next phase of onboarding and cannot be changed once the application is approved. If you are unsure which jurisdiction or entity type to select, or have questions, please contact onboarding@tenet.ky before proceeding.
¶
7. Step 7: Basic Info¶
Enter the full legal name of the entity exactly as it appears on the certificate of incororation (or equivalent document). You may also find the incorporation date and registration number on the certificate, which will be required in the next section.
In the ‘Relationship’ field, indicate how you (the person completing the application) are connected to the entity. Examples include director, officer, administrator, or employee.

Expand here for more information on regulation and bearer shares.
Is the entity subject to regulation?
Confirm whether the entity is subject to regulation. If the business holds—or is in the process of obtaining—any regulatory licenses, select Yes and specify the country where the license is or will be held.
Are there any bearer shares or could bearer shares be issued?
Indicate whether the entity has issued or is capable of issuing bearer shares.
What are bearer shares?
Companies sometimes issue shares in bearer form. This means the shares are not listed on any share register, but ownership rests with the person who has physical possession of the share certificate at a particular point in time.
Tip
In the “Type of Address” field, you may select multiple address types if they are the same. All three address types must be provided before the application can be submitted.
8. Step 8: Describe the Business¶
This is a critical section of the application. Please provide a clear and thorough explanation of what the business does.
Expand here for more information on what the onboarding team needs to understand
- How the business generates revenue
- Its growth potential
- Who its customers are
- Its source of funds (e.g., intercompany loan, capital injection from shareholders)
The more complete and accurate the description, the faster we can review, process the application, and open the account. Vague or incomplete responses may lead to delays and follow-up questions from our compliance team.
Tip
If available, upload supporting materials such as pitch decks, business plans, financial models, and presentations.
Providing complete and accurate information at this stage helps us review faster and reduces follow-up questions later.
¶
9. Step 9: Funding and Other Banking Relationships¶
Provide clear details about how the Tenet account will be funded. This information is essential for our onboarding team to understand the source of funds.
Important: If funds are coming from another party (investor, parent company, lender), please describe the nature of the relationship, upload relevant documentation (e.g., loan agreements, contribution terms, or investment conditions) using the document upload function. Provide details of any other banking relationships the applicant has.
¶
10. Step 10: Account Usage and Transactions¶
Please provide details on how the applicant intends to use the Tenet account
- Types of transactions expected, e.g., vendor payments, customer receipts, investment transfers.
- Frequency and volume of activity.
- Specific use cases relevant to the business operations.
Countries Linked to Transactions
- List all countries the applicant is expected to send money to or receive money from using the proposed account.
- Include all countries where the applicant currently operates or plans to engage in financial transactions.
Important:
Providing accurate and complete information helps us tailor monitoring systems, speeds up onboarding, and reduces transaction questions. Incomplete or vague responses may cause delays.
¶
11. Step 11: Associated Individuals¶
Provide details of all key individuals associated with the entity
Director(s): Names and residency jurisdiction of all directors
Shareholder(s): Names and residency of all shareholders with 10% or more ownership or control
Other Parties: Any other individuals with controlling or beneficial interest in the entity, even if not formally listed
Missing information may delay account opening.
¶
12. Step 12: Service Providers¶
List professional service providers associated with the applicant
Examples are legal advisors, accountants, auditors, corporate secretaries, compliance consultants, and financial intermediaries.
Understanding who supports the business helps the onboarding team:
- Assess operational and compliance frameworks
- Identify any regulated third parties involved
- Coordinate more effectively if additional verification is needed
Tip
Click “Other Service Providers” and review options. If the applicant engages with OTC desks, exchanges, or other financial platforms, provide complete and accurate details.
¶
