Create a New Wire Transfer Template¶
Creating a new wire template when sending money to a new recipient's bank account ensures accuracy, saves time on future transfers, and enhances security. It reduces the risk of errors, supports internal approval processes, and provides a clear audit trail for compliance and recordkeeping.

1. In the main navigation, click "TRANSFERS"

2. In the dropdown, click "TRANSFER TEMPLATES"

3. Click on the "ADD TEMPLATE" button.

4. Fill in the "Template name"

2. Select the Template type¶
- Internal Transfer Template: Payments to another Tenet Account
- Wire Transfer Template: Payments to external parties
5. Select the “Template type” in the dropdown field.

Select the type of "Permissions"
- Private: The wire template will only be visible to you (the user who created it). Other users within your organisation will not be able to view or use this template.
- Public: The wire template will be shared with other users under your organisation’s account. They will be able to view and use it when making payments. Please note: "Public" does not mean visible outside of your organisation—external users will not have access.
6. Select the type of “Permissions” for this template

2.1 Internal Template¶
Send payments to another Tenet Account
1. Complete the “Required” field and enter the Account name of the Tenet Account that is receiving the wire.

2. Complete the “Required” field and enter the Account number that is receiving the wire

3. While the Recipient reference field is optional, providing a reference is recommended for added clarity. The information entered here will be visible to the recipient. Useful examples include: "Invoice 12345", "Q2 Services", or "Loan Repayment".

4. When completed and ready, click the “SAVE” button.

2.2 Wire Transfer Template¶

5. Complete the “Required” field and enter the Template Name that is receiving the wire. Choose a name that helps you identify this template later (e.g., “Monthly Supplier Payment” or “ABC Capital Transfer”). For template type, select "Wire Transfer Template"

6. Select the type of “Permissions” for this template
- Private: The wire template will only be visible to you (the user who created it). Other users within your organisation will not be able to view or use this template.
- Public: The wire template will be shared with other users under your organisation’s account. They will be able to view and use it when making payments. Please note: "Public" does not mean visible outside of your organisation—external users will not have access.

7. Complete Beneficiary details. The "Account name" is the full name of the person or company receiving the funds. The "Account Number" is the beneficiary account number or International Bank Account Number (IBAN) of the recipient.

3. SWIFT / ABA Code¶
For Bank Code, choose either an SWIFT or ABA code based on the destination of your payment:
- SWIFT/BIC: Used for international payments. A unique 8 or 11-character code identifying a specific bank.
- ABA: Used for domestic payments within the United States. Also called a "routing number" (9 digits).

9. Type in the Bank Code

Intermediary Bank (Optional)
If your payee has provided details of an intermediary bank (a third bank that facilitates the transfer, often for USD wires to certain countries), tick this box and enter the intermediary bank's SWIFT/ABA code and name.
10. When completed and ready, click the “SAVE” button.
